MY UNCOMMON HERBS in my garden pots

I have been growing herbs at home in my back and side gardens for awhile. They grew very well this summer and autumn but some are now dying back. Having them close by means I can pick them fresh to add to my salads, soups, dishes or as a fresh herbal infusion or tea. As I LOVE the taste of herbs I do use good quantities to delight my taste buds and also provide nutrients such as anti-oxidants, minerals and vitamins and the benefits of the essential oils ( especially when used fresh and not heated in cooking )for health benefits and wellbeing. I recently read that the addition of herbs to food did indeed help us to increase the absorption of nutrients from the foods that we are eating.
Here is a photo of four of my "uncommon" herbs that some of you may recognise.

If you want to know more about these herbs subscribe to my blog as I will continue this article later with culinary and medicinal uses and the names of these wonderful herbs that you can grow as well in a home garden.
